Information/comments: I believe JC.COM was a failed experiment by Shueisha.  It was an anthology that was published bimonthly for two years and had extremely high quality printing and paper size, and a high price to match.  The first volume of Fire Fire Fire was considered by many fans to be a huge ripoff, due in large part to the artwork looking noticeably blurrier than the original printing and a 50 page advertisement at the back of the volume for another completely unrelated series that was also running in JC.COM.  Due to the anthology's failure it was canceled with its 12th issue, forcing FFF to end prematurely.

SS has acknowledged that it wasn't the ending he wanted for the series and that he hopes to continue it someday, but if that day comes, it may not be for a long while...

SS always said that they let him draw whatever he wanted for this series, which probably means there was very little in the way of editor intervention in the story and content.  The series features a lot of "fanservice" but in some ways it seems downplayed by the characters' non-reactions to it.  In any case, this is a series that in many ways is very vintage SS with an atmosphere that resembles his early oneshots, with goofy main characters and a not-so-serious plot.
